Get To Know Us
Led by long time Buffalo singer songwriter Dee Adams, Dee’s Grand Isle Opry was born from a love for classic country songs, and a newfound respect for their more modern interpretations. Drawing from a deep well of country music in America, Canada, and beyond, the band sets out to pay homage to over 7 decades of classic favorites, from Kitty Wells and Willie Nelson right on up through our own roaring 20s with Carrie Underwood and Lukas Nelson. The band features Dee on vocals and acoustic guitar, Helen Butler-Ceppaglia on fiddle, keyboards, and vocals, Paul Ceppaglia on guitars, mandolin, and vocals, Chris Jones on banjo, mandolin, and fiddle, Charlie Gannon on bass, guitar, and vocals, Theodore Chubbuck Jr on drums, and Michele Ruffino and Maria Sebastian alongside Dee for some of the warmest, fullest three part harmonies you could hope to hear. All the singers take turns at the helm, and the result is a few hours of hand clappin’, toe tappin’, two steppin’ country fun! Click here to find out where you can come hear us!
All of us are in other bands/projects as well which you might love.
Dee plays lots of solo acoustic shows and sits in with members of the Rock Angel band to form the Angel Sun trio (rock hits) and is frequently brought on as harmony vocal support with lots of friends’ bands. Around the winter holiday, she appears On Behalf Of Mrs Claus for caroling events for kids from 1 to 92. She also teaches voice lessons and intro to guitar with a focus on teaching young women.
Maria plays lots of solo acoustic shows and has multiple bands: The Visitors (originals), The Landlines (full band rock covers), Wind & Wire (duo covers & originals) and more.
Michele sings in her band Big Blue Wail as well as being a strong church vocalist.
Dee, Maria, and Michele perform as a trio together, currently titled Ladies Of The Opry, though they sing lots of differnt genres, not limited to classic country. If it’s got three part harmony, they’re singing it!
Helen plays old timey country with The Day Drinkers, and sometimes sits in with her old band McCarthyizm.
Paul loves alt-90s with his band The Cloves, wears an incredible mask while playing keyboards in Well Worn Boot, and also sometimes sits in with McCarthyizm.
Paul & Helen perform together as the pH Duo.
Chris is a staple of The Skiffle Minstrels, The Oatka Trio, and has a super cool paranormal podcast!
Charlie is a veteran player and can be found on records by Scott Carpenter & The Real McCoys, and Dee Adams And Her Band (also once known as Dee & The Housecats). Dee often calls on Charlie for guitar work for acoustic shows.
Ted is a versatile drummer playing with The Grateful Dans, and is well known for his time with Red Headed Stepchild.
All of us participate in our music community for tribute shows, support acts, charity/fundraisers, and of course, just going to each others’ shows on our nights off!
